Allied Fighters, in Chino, CA, has a newsletter online now that you’re going to enjoy. This is the outfit, as you know, which owns one of the few surviving and very active P-38s. One of their pilots, Jeffrey Harris, is a good friend to the P‑38 National Association and can often be found at the helm of their 38. Check it out here.
Also be sure to bookmark their website, because they have all the latest info on when their P‑38 will be where!

Glacier Girl
FYI, Glacier Girl is back at the Planes of Fame in Chino, CA, for some repairs and is expected to be there until the 17th, when the 475th Fighter Group is dedicating their P-38 Hangar.
If you don’t know her amazing story, read about it here on the P-38 Association website, and then stop by to see her.

One of our newsletter readers sent us this little “find” on eBay — starting bids at $3,995.
It would be swell if they would donate it to our P-38 Museum instead!

We’ve received word that Glacier Girl has left Chino and is heading to Fallon, NV. Our understanding is that she will be viewable there until Friday, when she leaves for the Sacramento air show.
We don’t have the contact info there, and when I tried to reach Fallon’s website I received a security error — so didn’t pursue it any further. But if you live in the area, you’ll no doubt know how to reach them for complete viewing details.
