  1. Dear Mr. Gardner,

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of your Dad. He sure could fly – the first P-38 I ever saw flying was “White Lighnin’” with your Dad at the controls many moons ago. I’ve been a nut about P-38’s ever since.

    Again, my deepest condolences,

    Tom Lund

  2. Ladd,
I run the Beeville Airport. We have had a number of folks inquiring about the 4 Stearmans that were in Beeville this week. This morning, they picked up the last one and I ask the pilot why they were hear. He said your Dad was buried here as he grew up in this area. Our sympathy goes out to you and your family.

  3. Dear Ladd Gardner

I’ve have always been a fan of the P-38 fighter. As a child I had many trips with my father to airshows to watch the old fighters fly. Your fathers plane always stood out and it was a joy to watch a master at the controls. My father past away 12 years ago, but I have many fond memories of those airshows and your father flying White Lightnin. Your father will be missed.

    My deepest Condolences
