Tangerine Back in the Air Again

We received word from Christian Gurling at the Tillamook Air Museum that not only is Tangerine now back in the air, she is tentatively scheduled to be part of the Hillsboro Air Show (a suburb of Portland, OR) on Aug. 28,29 &30.

Tangerine Back Online

We mentioned a while back that Tangerine, the P-38 owned by the Tillamook Air Museum, was moving toward coming back online.
Well, we just got word from the Museum Curator, Christian Gurling, that Tangerine recently made two successful 30-minute flights, with owner Jack Erickson behind the wheel.

Here are some great shots of the Red Bull P-38 after she arrives in Hamburg on her way home to Salzburg.
If you don’t speak German, here is a rough translation of the caption:
